While Kumari’s parents are alive, they are unable to care for her due to severe poverty. Kumari loves reading books and her favorite subject is English. “Though I have my parents I don’t have the ability to get a good education at home. I am happy to have a good education here and it is my dream to go to a good school in Sri Lanka. Now in this orphanage my dreams come true.” She is very intelligent.  She is also very sensitive and sentimental. She can speak and understand basic English.  She is very calm and reserved. But, when no one is around, she is a very funny character.  She has just passed her O level exams  and it now continuing her A level studies.
