Buddhika was born in Trinkomali. She does not know what happened to her mother. She remembers the day, however, that her father committed suicide by swallowing the poisonous seeds of a bright red flower. Buddhika and her sisters, Rasika Priyadarshani and Sakunthala Kumari, came to live at the orphanage on January 3,2000. Her brother lives with their grandmother. Buddhika loves collecting stamps and her favorite subject at school is math. She also enjoys playing with her dolls. “I love this place. I have my own bed.
